Ts. Dr. Lee Hing Wah

Technical Director & Head of Division, Semiconductor & Venture

Ts. Dr. Lee Hing Wah is a prominent Malaysian semiconductor researcher and Technical Director, currently serving as Head of the Semiconductor and Venture Division at the Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec). He is a key figure in driving the development of the Malaysia Semiconductor IC Design Park in Selangor. Before joining Sidec, Dr. Lee spent nearly two decades at MIMOS Berhad (Malaysia's national applied R&D centre), where he served as a Principal Researcher and Head of the Semiconductor R&D laboratory. During his tenure, he focused on advanced semiconductor technologies, including advanced packaging, nanomaterials, MEMS, and AI devices. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (MEMS) from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and has more than 20 years of industrial experience as a researcher. Today, Dr. Lee is actively involved in bridging the gap between academia and industry to nurture local tech startups and build Malaysia's next generation of semiconductor champions.
